NSCDC orders vacation of distressed houses as building collapse kills Osun woman

A resident of Ifetedo, simply identified as Ogunyemi, told PUNCH Metro on Thursday, that operatives of the NSCDC, responding to the distress call, rushed to the scene of the incident. This call was made in the wake of the death of a resident of Ifetedo in Osun State, identified as Idowu, after a building collapsed on her in the town on Tuesday. The Osun State commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Michael Adaralewa, has ordered all occupants of weak and distressed buildings in the state to vacate such structures before tragedy occurs. “Officers and men of the NSCDC Ife South Division, upon getting information rushed to the scene of the incident for rescue operation. “The Osun NSCDC Commandant, Dr. Michael Adaralewa, is using this opportunity to call on occupants of weak and dilapidated buildings in the state to vacate such structures before tragedy occurs.
