Man escapes death as fire guts vehicle in Lagos

The statement read in part, “The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency received distress calls at 2:10 am via its 767/112 Toll-Free Lines and swiftly deployed its Shark Response Team from the Lekki Base. A yet-to-be-identified male adult escaped death on Thursday after his Mercedes Benz C-Class car went up in flames at the Ikoyi-Lekki Link Bridge, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State. The incident was said to have occurred due to an electrical spark in the engine unit.
